HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, INDONESIA! Aug. 17 is the INDONESIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY; we attended the flag raising ceremony in front of Gedung Sate, The Governor’s office at 10 am in the morning. We learned how the Indonesians value that day; they celebrate it with parades, a lot of games, contests, and festivals in commemoration of their Independence from the Dutch colony in 1945.
